Solar Active Region 3848

This hydrogen alpha photo was taken October 2, 2024, in Champaign by lucky imaging. It has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise for perspective. The color on the last two photos is inverted. Inversion tends to emphasize filaments, and sometimes helps show depth in other structures. Zoom in. There is some nice detail of the chromosphere in this photo. Enjoy!
